The Diploma in Engineering course is a professional technical course in which students are taught about basic but all the essential concepts and topics of engineering. In India, students can study this education course after successfully completing Standard 10th in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and maths as subjects. A student who has attained the diploma is usually eligible to enter B.Tech./B.E. programmes in the second year under a lateral entry scheme.
